Welcome to the Appeals Page.

As chairman of the welfare committee I am responsible for overseeing all requests from members of the public, clubs, charities or other organizations that are requesting our help or assistance. In addition we organize outings, concert trips, Christmas parcels for the housebound and other activities during the year for the needy.

We hold monthly committee meetings to discuss progress of existing matters, and try to settle outstanding difficulties. New request are considered and investigated by one of the welfare committee members. A thorough checking procedure will take place. This is necessary to validate requests and remove the chance of a false or unnecessary application.

At the next meeting the details collected will be sympathetically examined and generally a decision made. This will then be presented to the club members with our recommendations at the next business meeting a few days later and, if approved by the club the appropriate action will be sanctioned.

If you are in need of help and would like to be considered, please do contact us.

The new Bognor Park Funrun has now been established and we have part funded this venture

The New Road Signs

These are now in place in three places as you enter into Bognor Regis.

This has taken many years and lots of patience from our members, so we are finally on the map.

Reports of the Appeals Committee

We will be reporting brief details of the decisions taken at the welfare meetings, and the subsequent recommendations made to the Lions Business Meetings. By its very nature some information is of a very sensitive nature, and will therefore have been edited or removed completely from this public domain.
